Sheffield Increased its already substantial lead in the Malvern Cricket Sub-association’s competition on Saturday when it beat Greendale outright by eight wickets. The side now has 50 points. 14 ahead of Darfield which is in second place. South Malvern scored a surprising win over Hororata, outright by 12 runs. South Malvern was all out in its first innings for 61. Hororata then quickly hit up 111 for one wicket declared and appeared assured of victory. The South Malvern batsmen made a fine second innings stand for 204. Hororata could only make 142 in its second innings and was beaten outright by 13 runs.
