Mare Goes To U.S. Breeder

The brood mare Yahabeebe, a former champion sprinter now at the stud, was bought today by Mr Humphrey Finney, of the Fasig Tipton Blood Stock Agency. New York. Her previous owner was Mr L. J. I’isher, of Pakuranga. in the ownership of Messrs L. J. Fisher and I. D. Harvey, Yahabeebe raced for five seasons and won 14 races.

Her stake earnings were £20.702. She headed the Two-year-old Free Handicap Ly winning the Great Northern Foal Stakes and the Great Northern Champagne Stakes Other important races she won were the AJLG Railway Handicap (twice), the A.R.C. Challenge Stakes (twice) and the King’s Plate (twice). Sbe was also successful in the North Island Challenge Stakes at Trentham and came second in the £lO.OOO Strad broke Handicap in Brisbane Yahabeebe still holds the New Zealand record for seven furlongs Imin 22 2-Seec. which she ran at EUerslie. Her first foal, a colt by Gabador was sold at auction to Australia last week for SOOQgna Yahabeebe’s new owner wiU be an American breeder, M. Robert Lehman.
