PRESIDENT RESIGNS
Union Request Met (N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, January 27. Mr J. Petterssen has resigned as president of the Glendermid branch of the Otago-Southland Freezing Workers’ Union. An officer said tonight that the union had asked Mr Petterssen to stand down and his resignation had been given. Meanwhile the dispute between the union and the management of Glendermid’s tannery over the dismissal of six workers—three men and three women—who failed to return on time from holidays continues.
