New Sub-station At Waipara
A new sub-station is being built at Waipara by the New Zealand Electricity Department to enable better distribution of power throughout the area by the North Canterbury Electric Power Board. The existing power line from Southbrook to Waipara has been altered to an increased voltage—from 33,000 to 06,000 —and the new substation anil cater tor the increase.
