BOWLS Ninth Round Of Inter-Club Games

The ninth rounds in the Christchurch Bowling Centre’s inter-club competitions were played in good conditions on fast greens. No further games will be played unital January 19. On December 26 the Christmas fours will begin acid four • days will be taken up with lb's tournament. On Saturday many players welcomed the fast greens. These players soon scored good figures against players more at home on the heavier greens. Those preferring heavy greens have been favoured in the earlier rounds. Fendalton, leader in the Manning Cup competition before play began on Saturday, had a successful day, winning six out of the eight games played. Fendalton probably stall hold the lead but it is not possible to give positions because many club secretaries failed to furnish the results of Saturday’s games.
