20 Mangakino Houses Sold
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. Dec. 16. Twenty houses were sold out of the 30 offered at an auction sale held by the Ministry of Works at Mangakino on Saturday. Bidding was animated for some houses and prices ranged from £3OO to £395. Inquiries received by the auctioneer indicated that the remainder of the houses may also be sold. The construction sheds at Atiamuri. offered at the auction, were all sold. The buyers will remove these buildings.
Motor-cyclist Injured.—Leg injuries were suffered by Patrick Nutira, of 32 Baker street. New Brighton, when his motor-cycle and a car collided at the corner of Lincoln road and Barrington street about 1.50 p.m. yesterday. Mr Nutira was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital.
