Yachting Gretel Back Home
( N.Z.P .A.-Reuter—CowrigM) BRISBANE. Nov. 30, The Gretel, Australia's challenger for the America’s Cup. is back in Australia, She returned on the deck of the passenger ship. Port Wyndham. which reached Brisbane last night. With her was the American 12-metre yacht, the Vim. which was used by the syndicate which built Gretel as a yardstick for her design. The Gretel was unsuccessful in her challenge for the cup in races sailed off Newport. Rhode Island.
A 21-year-old New Yorker. Mr Jack Davies, who travelled with the Gretel as the caretaker, said Amercians would be disappointed if the Gretel did not take part in another challenge.
