7 GOLD FOR PAKISTAN

Top Wrestling Nation (Special Crspat. N.Z.P.A.) PERTH, Nov. 30.

Pakistan won seven of the eight gold medals for wrestling in the Empire Games at Perth. A Pakistani took a silver medal in the only class his country did not win. Two New Zealanders won bronze medals: the middleweight F. A. Thomas and the flyweight W. J. Nisbet, both of Wellington.

Thomas had to wrestle twice last night. He won his second bout —against M. Faiz of Pakistan, the eventual winner—by a fall. Nisbet had actually been eliminated from his section after losing only two bouts but as there were only four in the fly-weight class and one of them could not make the weight on the final day, the bronze medal went to him.

The eighth gold medal was won by England.
