Tennis WIMBLEDON DRAW
New System Proposed
(N.Z. Press LONDON, Nov. 30. Britain's tennis chiefs are to revise the system of drawing the seeded players in the Wimbledon championships next year, the “Daily Express” reported. The Lawn Tennis Association will propose at their annual meeting on December 13 that seeded players be placed in the draw, instead of taking up their allocated positions in the order in which they come out of the hat At present only the numbers one and two seeded players are positioned—they go to the top and the bottom of the draw.
