Took Car In His Stride
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 30. Running downhill, Newara Tukiwahl, aged 22, a workman, literally took a car in his stride, according to evidence in the Magistrate's Court at Wellington today. Sergeant A. Davey said Tukiwahi ran up the back of the vehicle, along its roof and down its bonnet, on which footmarks were later discernible. Damage amounted to £lO.
Tukiwahi admitted causing wilful damage to the car. Mr M. B. Scully. S.M., fined him £l5 and ordered him to pay 30s costs and £lO restitution.
