Former Head Boy Hits At Gordonstoun Policy

LONDON, November 30. A former bead boy of Gordonstoun, Prince Charles’s school, has attacked it for what he calls its “ridienlons” mountain-climbing and cold tetb policy. He is a 31-year-oM undergraduate, Endymion Wilkinson, who wrote an article for a Cambridge University magazine, “Granta.’ * He claimed, the keep-fit campaign produced boys who were so trained to deal with emergencies that they preyed
for a tragedy to occur, the ‘“Daily Express” reported. Wilkinson said the school sacrificed academic study for ‘■ridiculous physical capers ’’ Wilkinson was bead boy and captain at tbs school coastguards three years ago. He said last night that the article, which would appear on Saturday, attacked the teaching of the school’s German founder, Kurt Hahn. ‘‘Hahn miaguidedly thinks that it you make a chap climb mountains all day it will solve all his probtams,” be said.
