Halberg will break his own threemile world record in the Empire Games tomorrow, according to a Sydney “Telegraph’* sports writer. He said today that Halberg. an amazing athlete who competed under great difficulties with a withered arm, was currently the world's beat runner, distance for distance According to the writer, experts who had seen Halberg believed he was capable of reducing his world record of 13min lOsec by two seconds.
