NEW SPIKES FOR SNELL
Kangaroo-Hide Shoes (N.ZP A.-Reuter—Copyright) PERTH. November 25. P. G. Snell has been presented with a pair of tailormade running shoes by Helmut Dreske, the Perth shoemaker who used to supply H G Elliott Dreske’s kangaroo - hide shoes are famous and he exports them to many parts of the world. He has been making track shoes for only five years and is now exporting 8000 pairs a year plus 11.000 pairs of warm-up shoes The shoes Dreske made for Snell have half-inch spikes SneE wore them in his halfmile heat today In preference to his regular shoes. Dreske came to Australia from Germany without a penny 10 years ago. Today, he employs 35 persons.
