Paper Mill's Achievement (NJS. Press Association) ROTORUA. November 2tt Up to £20.000 a year in Prize money will be awarded under the Tasman Pulp and Paper Company Ltd's, new safety scheme aimed at reducing accidents at the company’s mill at Kawerau
Each year accidents which affect production cost the company £20.000, The new scheme replaced other safety competitions and awards that had operated at the mill, Mr S. R. Worth, mill public .relations officer, said this morning. There had been no disabling accidents since the new scheme began. A similar safety system might be started at the Kaingaroa Logging Company. Ltd., Murupara. the manager. Mr M. H. McKee, said today “However, I don’t agree that logging is in the same class as milling and the plans are still under discussion.” he said.
