NIGHT BUS SERVICES
TV May Cause Curtailment
The increase in television licences must be a cause for concern to public transport boards, said the chairman of the Christchurch Transport Board (Mr J. R. Smith) at a meeting of the board yesterday He said that in Christchurch 600 licences were issued in October, bringing the total in Christchurch to 11,017. “If this increase continues the board may have to review its evening services,” said Mr Smith. “The general manager (Mr J. F. Fardell) has arranged for a count to be taken of picture trips on all routes.”
