Gaol For Fraud And Theft
(N Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 19. A six-months’ gaol term was imposed on Desmond Henry Hurst O’Connor, aged 53. a cook, when he appeared before Mr J. F. Keane, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court at Lower Hutt today for sentence on 19 charges of false pretences, three of obtaining credit by fraud, and one of theft. He had pleaded guilty to al ’.charges.
Restitution of £2OO 5s was also ordered.
