Leading teams in the New Zealand Utility Poultry Club's breeders' laying trial at the end of the ninth month of the trial were:— Six-bird Teams.—Australorps: Mrs E Johns (Christchurch), 1256 eggs. White Leghorns: E. G. Wood (Leeston), 1216 eggs. Any other variety: Mrs M Garrett (Heathcote), Rhode Island Reds. 1200 eggs Twenty-bird Teams.—Australorps: W. A McClatchy (Kaiapoi), 3725 eggs.
