Committee To Inquire (N Z. Press Asm.—CopvnflMl CANBERRA, October 17 The Australian Government plans to appoint a committee to make a comprehensive inquiry into Australia's economy. The Prime Minister (Mr Menzies) announced in the House of Representatives today that he would appoint committee members as soon as possible They would be asked to draw up “a chart or prospectus of Australia's economic potential." **Business demands rightly enough to know what the Government is trying to do, what its objectives are. and what its lines of policy will be.” he said. “The Government, on its part, feels the need to know more of what business hopes to do and plans to do—the work of this committee should help us all."
Cuban Visit—The Algerian Prime Minister (Mr Ahmed ben Bella) arrived in Havana -Aoday for a one-day visit— Havana. October 16.
