Two Shamrock club players, J. Callaghan (goak-keeper) and P. Flynn (full-back) have been bracketed as the Canterbury Football Association's “Sportsman of the Year.** They will hold the trophy jointly for this year. Ths trophy is awarded by newspaper writers on sportsmanship. playing ability, appearance and general conduct throughout the season. Callaghan Is a former New Zealand representative goalkeeper. He has not been available for the representative side this season. Flynn, also a former New Zealand player, has represented Canterbury and the South Island this season.
