Queen Sirikit Left In White And Brown

Queen Sirikit of Thailand left Christchurch airport for Australia yesterday looking completely recovered from her cold, and wearing her most flattering day-time colour combination pearlwhite and dark brown.

The Queen’s tiny pearlwhite leather pillbox hat was set securely against the early spring breeze on her topknot hairstyle. She wore a dark brown mink coat over her pearl-white open-knit wool dress and matching short jacket, lighter brown accessories, a multi-strand pearl necklace, pearl and diamond ear-rings, and white kid gloves.

Before the official farewell ceremony began, the King and Queen shook hands with members of the entourage who had accompanied them throughout their New Zealand tour.
