21st Anniversary Parade
(N Z Press Association) AUCKLAND. August 28. Th® twenty-first birthday of the New Zealand Air Training Corps of the Royal New Zealand Air Force began with a smart parade at Hobsonvi'He base on Saturday The parade was a prelude to a week's activities. Cadets attending are between the ages of 14 and 18 and come from areas extending from Kaitaia to Invercargill.
Southern Area Wins Trophy

The Southern Area of the New Zealand Air Training Corps won the competition in aero modelling and flying for the De Havilland trophy at Hobsonville during the weekend. The contest, held as part of the Corns' twenty-first birthday celebrations, had classes for gliders, rubber powered, gas engined, and control line scale models. Judging of the design and construction of the models was completed on Saturday, and the flying was held today ■ in perfect conditions Points gained by the three areas were: Southern. 442 58: Northern. 435.91; Central. 131131.
