Mr Selwyn Lloyd, the former Chancellor of the Exchequer sacked by the Prime Minister (Mr Macmillan) last month, today announced his return to the world of insurance—a job he gave up when he joined the Government in 1951
He has rejoined the board of Alliance Assurance, where he was a director until 1951 and has also joined the board of the £ 131 million Sun Alliance
Mr Lloyd is the third Government Minister sacked in last month’s big Cabinet reshuffle to take up directorships in the City—London's business area.
