David Neil Neilson, sales-man-clerk. of Lower Hutt, was convicted and fined £l5O by Mr Justice Leicester when he was found guilty in the Wanganui Supreme Court on a charge of negligent driving causing the death of Alan Colin Tiso.
The charge arose out of an accident to a car driven bv Neilson on the Marangai hill, some five miles south of Wanganui, on the night of April 27. as the result of which Tiso. a passenger in the car. died from injuries. Neilson was disqualified from obtain ng a driving licence for five years.
