No Church Reunion “In Near Future”

There will be no formal reunion of the churches in the near future, the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Melbourne (Dr. Daniel Mannix) said yesterday.
“We are only preparing for reunion,” he said. “I hope the preparation will not be as long as the 400-year division.”
Dr. Mannix, now 98. will celebrate the fiftieth year of his episcopal consecration in October.
