Soccer S.I. UNDER 14 TOURNEY
Christchurch Loses To Buller (From Our Own Reporter) NELSON. August 22. With only one match left to play in the South Island under 14 soccer tournament at Nelson. Otago seems certain of emerging unbeaten. Tomorrow it will play Nelaon, present holder of both the South Island minor and major association under 14 tournament trophies, but on Otago's present form it seems likely to beat the holders. Today Otago defeated Marlborough. 17-0, to maintain its unbeaten record Shock defeat of the day was that of Canterbury, which went down 3-2 to Buller. The muddy ground suited the heavier Buller team. which scored through Currie and Kerr. I. Walter replied for Canterbury with a header after receiving a pass from Glassen. but Buller's margin was Increased again when Kerr scored from a penalty. D. Hadlee completed the scoring. Other result today was: South Canterbury 2. Nelson 1.
