Deported From Australia

A.-Reuter—Copyright) CANBERRA, August 22 Mak Chee, the 35-year-old Chinese who claimed early this month his name was Mak Kong and that he had escaped from China, was deported from Australia last week-end. an Immigration Department official revealed today. Mak Chee, arrested early this month at a Melbourne suburban restaurant where he was a cook, declared he had escaped from the Communists in 1953 and was smuggled into Australia in a coffin-like box in a ship’s hold.
But the immigration authorities found he had de- 1 serted from a ship in Brisbane only 18 months ago. and had a wife in Hong Kong.
