Suppression Of Name Refused
(N.Z. Press Association) ROTORUA, Aug. 14. School teachers had a position of trust, Mr G. J. Doone, SM, told Robert Francis Paepke, aged 23, single, of Rotorua, who appeared for sentence in the Rotorua Magistrate’s Court this morning on three charges of indecent assault on boys. Mr Doone sent Paepke to prison for six months before probation for one year. Coun. sei for the accused, Mr R. A. Potter, asked for the suppression of name. Mr Doone declined the application because he said rumours must have permeated the community and the children at the school. In fairness to the other teachers at the school the name of the accused should be made public.
