37,372 From Commonwealth (N Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) LONDON August 3 There were 37 372 Commonwealth immigrants unemployed in Great Britain <fri July 18. the House of Commons was told today The Government also said there had been 8357 applications for employment vouchers up to July 31 and 8221 had been issued The House was also told that there had been 125 recommendations for deportation under the act—three involving Australians and two Involving New Zealanders Sixty-four of the recommendations concerned Immigrants from the Republic of Ireland Five persons had been deported and orders for the deportation of a further seven signed One of these 12 was an Australian. The Government had rejected 19 deportation orders.

Of the remaining recommendations. 81 persons were serving prison sentences, one was awaiting sentence, three •were detained in mental hospitals. four were free pending consideration of the recommendation, one had successfully appealed, and four had been freed.
