Taxi Shot At

(N.Z. Press Association) WHANGAREI. July 31.

While driving home through the Waihou valley about 8.45 p.m. on Sunday, a Kaikohe taxi-driver. Mr George Wilson, was shot at. The driver's side of his ear was peppered with shot, more than 30 "dots" of paint being taken off. Ona pellet which passed through the three inches of □pen window lodged •in Mr Wilson's head. “I think it was only some young chaps having a pot at a passing car." said Mr Wilson.
