Gift To Hocken Library

Three hundred and fifty paintings by New Zealand artists, valued at more than £25.C00. a gift to the University of Otago Hocken Library. are now gracing the large entrance hall of the new centennial wing of Otago Museum, ready for an official inauguration tomorrow night.
This is the Mona Edgar collection, given to the Hocken Library by Mr Charlton Edgar, head of the art department at the Auckland Teachers’ Training College, as a memorial to his wife.
