Abandoned Baby

PALMERSTON NORTH July 11. A baby, aged, about a fortnight. was found abandoned in a telephone box at the corner of Cardiff street and Pioneer avenue in Palmerston North early this morning. The baby's cries attracted the attention of a milkman, Mr T. Roberts, as he was passing the box at 4.30 a.m. He notified the police and the baby was taken to hospital.
