HONG KONG ORPHANS
Difficulties Of Adoption (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 26. Five European families have applied for the adoption of Chinese orphans at the Auckland branch of the Red Cross Society. The branch's secretary (Dr. W. S. Dale) said today that there had been several other inquiries, but when the steps necessary to bring a child from Hong Kong were explained the inquirers withdrew. He said the problems of immigration laws, parental difficulties and the satisfaction of the New Zealand and Hong Kong authorities had to be met.
