ATHLETICS Halberg, Burleson, Kidd, To Compete

WALNUT (California). June 22 The world record holder, M. G. Halberg, of New Zea* land, last night predicted ‘‘a most interesting race” when he faces the 19-year-old B. Kidd, of Canada, and D. BurleSon. of Oregon. this week-end. These three and M. Truex, of Los Angeles, will compete in the threemile run for the National Amateur Athletics Union track and field championship. The meeting will begin tonight and conclude tomorrow night in Mt. San Antonio College's memorial stadium. Excellent weather has been forecast. Halberg, who was beaten by Kidd and Truex in a meeting jat Compton. The Amateur Athletic Union of Australia last night announced that it had accepted the Indonesian invitation. Indonesia will stage the fourth Asian Games late in August.
