Six of the nine noraes which fought a thrilling finish to the Wanganui Steeplechase are engaged in the Hawke’s Bay Steeplechase on the opening day of the Hawke’s Bay winter meeting tomorrow. Nostradamus, No Offence, and Lombard did best at Wanganui of those listed tomorrow, but Break Away. Strydom and Royal Courage were not far in their wake. The T.A.B. double will be on the Winter and Mahora Handicaps, for which Action Packed and Erldon should be a formidable combination. There was rain today and the forecast Is for showers.
