New Life Boys Teams

Two new Life Boy teams were registered at a meeting of the Canterbury area council of Life Boys recently. This brings the number of teams in the area to 33. making Canterbury the second largest area in the Dominion. The teams are 17th Christchurch. which is associated with St. David's Method Church. Bryndwr. and the 27th Christchurch, which is associated with the Opawa Methodist Church. Fifty-two boys, aged between eight and 11. are initial members of the teams with Messrs D McLean and A C. Blyth as respective leaders. It was very pleasing to see new teams forming as the city expanded, said the Canterbury area supervisor (Mr W. F. Bishop) when he welcomed the two teams Eight teams had been formed in outer suburbs during the last 12 months
