Hill in a_ B.RM. gained the pole position with a new record lap time of 3min 57sec (133,083 m.ph.). The previous fastest in practice yesterday was T. Taylor in a Lotus at 3min 59,35ec <131.803 m,p.h.). This was still good enough for a front position.
