Halberg Wins Two Miles (NZ.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) ALBUQUERQUE (New Mexico). June 17. The New Zealand runner. J Davies, won a slow-paced mile in the invitation sports meeting in Albuquerque last night. His time was 4min 14.1 sec. He finished six-tenths of a second in front of G Young, of Silver City. New Mexico, with R. Vinton, of Baltimore Olympic Club, third in 4min 14 9sec. In the two miles M G Halberg had no-one to push him to a fast pace and he won in 9min 3 2sec This was more than half a minute slower than his fastest time. Second, in 9min 24.75ec. was N. Sargent, of Los Angeles, with J. Macy, of Houston. Texas, third in 9min 26.35ec. ' Halberg's time at the 3000metre mark was Bmin 28.4 sec.
