Marist Captain Ordered Off

The Marist senior Rugby team's captain and hooker, K. J. O’Shannessy, was ordered from the field by the referee (Mr L. A. Lasson) in the game against Shirley at Lancaster Park south on Saturday. It was the first occasion since August, 1959. that a senior player in Christchurch club Rugby had been ordered off. Mr Lasson issued several warnings to players during the match.
