(N.Z. Press Association) DANNEVIRKE, June 17. P. Ricnards (Palmerston North) came home ssec ahead of J. Lucas, of Petone. and 3u sec in front of the Scottish Club (Wellington) runner, G. Wheeler, to Win the senior 5 6-mile event at the Anderson harrier rally in Dannevirke yesterday afternoon. His time was 30mm 55sec. In fourth place was the New Zealand steeplechase champion. E. O’Keefe, of Hawera. who was just edged out by Wheeler for third place More than 400 runners took part in the rally, including a big contingent from the Owairaka (Auckland) Harrier Club, which won the senior A teams division from Scottish. Petone was third. S. Binton. of Owairaka, won the 2 6 mile women’s race, the first-ever at the rally. Other results were: Senior B. 5.6 Miles —L. Woodruffe (Feilding) 1. J. Wilson ; Massey) 2.
