Queen’s Hotel Bought
The Oamaru Licensing Trust has agreed to purchase Queen's Hotel, the largest hotel in Oamaru, for £38.500 The sale is subject to Governm nt approval. Containing 54 bedrooms, the hotel was a private hotel during the period when Oamaru was not a licensed district. It was a public hotel before prohibition was passed in Oamaru. Mrs W Woodham, wife of the proprietor of the hotel, said last evening that the hotel would be transferred to the trust as soon as Government approval of the sale was received
