At Oamaru

Two players were ordered off in Rugby matches at Oamaru on Saturday. One of the incidents resulted in a schoolboy being sent to hospital with concussion. In a fifth grade match between St. Kevin's A and Waitaki B. the referee, Mr J A. Bennett, ordered a St Kevin's boy from the field after a blow had been struck.

An injured Waitaki boy. W. Winslade. was sent to Oamaru Hospital where he remained on Saturday night under observataion. There was a sensation In the main senior match, between Union and Excelsior, when the Excelsior captain and hooker. R B. Lewis, was ordered off after an incident involving a Union forward St. John Ambulance men had a busy day. Officers attended 18 injured players at the Oamaru Show Grounds, one of whom, an Otematata senior plaver. was sent to hospital. Three others were taken to a doctor for treatment.
