Detectives are investigating a fire at the Electrolux factory at Kilbirnie on Saturday night when a rear door was found forced open. Fire and water damage amounted to £l5OO

The alarm, an automatic installation, was given at 96 p.m. Two machines attended and the fire was confined to a small area of packing cases on a conveyor belt.
