TO MOVE TO LINCOLN

Woollen Mills’ Research Unit

(N Z. Press Association!

AUCKLAND, June 17

The Woollen Mills Association has decided to transfer its research institute from Otago University to Lincoln College. The institute will work in conjunction with the Wool Research Organisation being established at Lincoln by the Wool Board. This was announced by the president of the Woollen Mills Association. Mr G. W. Lane, of Dunedin, in a supplied statement after the association's annual meeting at Waiwera during the weekend. He said the transfer had been made possible by a generous offer from the Wool Research Organisation of space in its new establishment at Lincoln. In future the institute would confine its activities to research into woollen milling production and wool utilisation, he said. Mr Lane was re-elected president of the association, with Messrs A. Holroyd (Wanganui) and E. O. Hunter (Dunedin) as vice-presidents.
