Tamil May Do Best

"The Press” Special Service WELLINGTON, June 8. The winter season in the Wellington district continues tomorrow with the opening of the Manawatu meeting. Al though the feature events will not be decided until the second day there will be plenty of interest.

A likely combination for the T.A.B. double is Outcome and Tamil, the respective legs being the Palmerston North and Stewards’ Handicaps. Both have been racing well lately in conditions which are likely tomorrow.

The track was heavy for the final trials on Thursday, and although it should have dried out slightly, the going is likely to be soft.
