CONFERENCE OF A.C.W.W.
Mrs Van Beekhoff To Tour N.Z.
The world president of the Associated Country Women of the World (Mrs G. van Beekhoff) will visit New Zealand in September before going to Melbourne to preside at the tenth triennial conference of the A.C.WW from October 2 to 12. Mrs van Beekhoff. who Is a past-president of the Netherlands Women's Institutes, will travel extensively in New Zealand and meet as many country women as possible. She will be in Christchurch at the end of September. The theme of the conference will be “The Country Woman’s Part in a Changing World," and will be studied in four discussion groups on food. learning, friendship and leisure.
The official delegation from New Zealand Country Women’s Institutes will include the following:—Mesdames E. D. Holt (Northern Hawke’s Bay Federation), M. E. Mark wick (Whangarei Federation) I. K Wood (Waikato East Federation), G. Braid (Tauranga Federation) and Miss Amy G. Kane (Wellington). Mesdames G. M. Hodgkinson and C. A. Cornish of the Canterbury Federation’s executive will attend the conference as contributing members.
