Offers Being Considered < N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. June 7. Directors of the Southern Cross Building and Banking’ Society, Auckland, announced today that approaches have been made to the society by “very substantial organisations” and these were receiving consideration. Up to late this afternoon no communication “in any shape or form” had been received from R. A. Brierley Investments. Ltd., which is reported to have made a third offer of 35s a share in cash for the society’s capital Shareholders are advised once again not to sign any document or part with any scrip without the prior advice of the directors of the society.
