STATEMENTS ON TOUR

Criticism By Auckland

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 7."

Statements made this week by the chairman of the New Zealand Football Association (Mr J. Kershaw) about the recent New Caledonian visit, were criticised tonfght by members of the Control Board of the Auckland association. The board carried unanimously a motion that "this association dissociates itself from the report tabled this week at the New Zealand council concerning the New Caledonian tour, and while respecting the council’s right to its own opinions sve consider the council's receiving the report in open meeting was in poor taste and lacks foresight for the continuation of relationships with New Caledonia and other Pacific associations.”

The board decided to send the text of its motion to the secretary of the New Zealand association.
