FILMS APPEAL BOARD
Mr Gotz Appoints New Members (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 25. Two new members of the Cinematograph Films Censorship Board of Appeal were announced today by the Minister of Internal Affairs (Mr Gotz). They are Mr A. E. Hurley and Miss M. J. Clark, both of Wellington. Mr Hurley is a barrister and solicitor, and Miss Clark is a Wellington City Councillor and former headmistress of Wellington Girls’ College. They replace Mr C. G. White and Mrs B. Reid, whose terms of office expire on May 31.
The appointments are for three years. The board hears appeals on decisions by the film censor. It comprises a chairman, Judge W. F. Stilwell, and two members.
Police Radio*. Newlyinstalled two-way police radios in Wanganui will be switched off until their interference with television reception in the city has been righted.—(PA.)
