Otago Museum Grant
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 21. A £ 10,000 Government grant has been made to the Otago Museum Trust Board to enable it to complete the new centennial wing of the , Otago Museum building, the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) announced today. The grant has been made by the Minister of Internal Affairs (Mr Gotz) as a result of recommendations made bv Mg Holyoake after he inspected the project in March. "The Otago Museum has established a high reputation, and its work is widely recognised in this country and overseas,” the Prime Minister said. “In the educational field, in particular, it is a vigorous institution which is fulfilling a vital need in the community.”
