Determination To Resist Cut (AZ Press Association) AUCKLAND. May 22. The dairy industry would resist, by al) means in their power, any reduction in the guaranteed price for butter fat. said the chairman of the Auckland provincial dairy section of the Federated Farmers (Mr W Wesley) in his annual report, today. He said the dairy farmer was finding it increasingly difficult to maintain the standard of living he had a right to enjoy as a large earner of overseas exchange. The biggest problem was the rising cost of everything within the country itself Farmers should press for the same conditions as others, including a fair return, for work, skill and money invested “Pver everything else hasloomed the uncertainy of tht European Common Market, together with the prospect of a decrease of the price of butterfat next season." he said
